Headless Children and other Mysteries of the City
Big bad birthmus is here and I have a bad attitude. It is that magical time of the year when people smoosh my birthday into Christmas and present me with the birthmus present. |

Bah humbug, keep your trinkets;
my anger will keep me warm today and into the future. That is until this tradition is stopped and
maybe I can have a birthday and then the very next day have a Christmas. Is it too much to dream?

Christmas eve morning in San Fran was awesome. Few people to clog the streets and the sun was beating down brightly, my girl held my hand and it was all good on this 43rd birthmus. We snapped some more pics just for laughs.
Note Stacey getting tired of having the camera shoved in her face. Yesterday we took our weekly walk in San Fran. This week we headed over to Japantown. It was a good hearty walk and we discovered all kinds of hidden stores and restaurants. I also had the new camera with me so bear with us as we learn how to use this nifty gadget. Besides some of the pictures are kinda interesting.
Japantown is full of little secret stores and restaurants. Each turn had something else for us look at and discuss. The highlight of the trip had to be the little market Stacey found. It was full of all kinds of random food, kitchen supplies, office supplies, and other “imports”. I found some great binders for some of my comic collection and Stacey found yet another bag. Oh crap, I’m way off topic here; I need to get to the headless children before I lose all of you with my home movies.
You do have to admit
this camera does take some pretty sweet pictures. Stacey is already regretting it.
She’ll get used to the camera whether she wants to or not…
Stacey and Sean mug it up on Christmas Eve morning. Ok, San Francisco has so many places that just beg to be photographed. Bright colors and sunshine in December are just another reason why San Francisco is my favorite place in the world. Speaking of the world I just returned from three weeks in Europe. Italy, Ireland, and Spain and lots of new friends. More on that here http://picasaweb.google.com/leftcoastlove.
Heads? Where are the heads? Why the children? What did they do?
During our Christmas Eve walk Stacey and I decided to stop into Old Navy and visit Alexis. As I walked through the store I noticed something scary. All the mannequins were without heads. Everyone on every floor in every department was headless. Sleepy Hollow in SF, and it really hit me when we got to the children’s floor. Seeing all the headless kids lined up started to freak me out. I grabbed my camera and snapped away as I ran from display to display pointing and shrieking. That was until the security guard escorted me back onto Market Street, apparently taking pictures of the headless kids is not allowed. Where are all the heads? The pictures on the walls show models who indeed have heads so why not the mannequins? Was there some madman running amok in San Fran? Why was he lopping the heads off defenseless manakids? We would soon find the answer in another part of town.
The horror of headless manakids!
Later during our walk home I felt like we were being watched. I stopped and scanned the buildings and noticed a head. Yes a mannequin head sitting on a window sill. Was he trying to signal us? Was this where the heads were being held? We are currently digging into the story and I’ll get back to you all once we unravel this mystery.
